All leaders working on the Womenzone courses possess strong skills in outdoor leadership, holistic health and human relationships. They are local women who live and work in Snowdonia, who live life to the full and are committed to sharing their secrets with others.
The Course Director and Founder of Womenzone is Simone Simpson.
I am a qualified Physical and Health Education Teacher who has also taught in the outdoor environment for 14 years. I am a Mountain Leader, Single Pitch Rock Climbing Instructor, British Orienteering Federation Instructor, Senior River Kayak Instructor, and experienced in leading trips in canoe’s, sea kayak’s, seacliff climbing and gorge walking.
I am currently the Programmes Director at Team International whose major clients at the moment are: Europcar, Lilly UK Industries & Boehringer Ingleheim, Semantico, Lombard Vehicle Management.
I am happily married, with two sons Joe, 8 years old and Jake 5 years old.
When I get the time to play I like to go paragliding. I have flown across the mountains of Snowdonia, the Brecon Beacons, The French Alps, The Spanish
Andalusia Range, the Richmond Hills (North of the South Island, New Zealand) and some of the Australian Outback. Once I was 77 th in the British Paragliding Championships!!!
